\nOF METROPOLITAN PAVEL OF MANILA AND HANOI
\nTO THE GOD-LOVING FLOCK OF THE PHILIPPINE\u2013VIETNAMESE DIOCESE<\/p>\n

Beloved in the Risen Lord, all-honourable fathers, devout faithful!
\nOn this glorious Paschal night, I greet each of you with these long-awaited and life-giving words:
\nCHRIST IS RISEN!
\nI warmly congratulate each of you on the Pascha of the Lord\u2014the Bright Resurrection of Christ! With all my heart, I rejoice together with you in this great celebration of heaven and earth.
\nOn this wondrous night of the Lord\u2019s Pascha, we are once again filled with joy in the Risen Christ, and every Christian feels the full power of the life-affirming greeting: \u201cChrist is Risen!\u201d
\nThe Resurrection of Christ the Savior is a great and unique event in world history. The victory of the Son of God over sin and death is the unshakable foundation of our faith.
\nThrough the Resurrection of Christ, humanity is freed from the power of sin, the curse, and death; for the Pascha of Christ is the passage from death to life, from sin to virtue, from the curse to the reception of God\u2019s gifts and blessings.
\nThe Pascha of Christ is the fullness of the revelation of God and of the Kingdom of God. It is the fullness of life in God, for in Christ\u2019s Resurrection the meaning of all existence is revealed. Through Pascha we are given an image of unity: unity with one another, unity in the Church of God, unity in Christ and with the Risen Christ.
\nSaint Philaret, Metropolitan of Moscow, in his Paschal homily says: \u201cFollowing the Angels, we have entered into the feast of the Resurrection of Christ\u2026. He who cele\u001fbrates with a pure heart, celebrates with the Angels. He who celebrates with love for God and the Risen Christ, and in the spirit of brotherly love for his neighbor, celebrates in communion with the Heavenly Church, since Heaven is nothing other than the kingdom of Divine Love.\u201d
\nPascha is the victory of Christ the Savior over death and hell, over enmity and hatred; it is the greatest triumph of love and peace; it is, in the words of Saint John Chrysostom, for all \u201ca feast of faith\u201d and \u201cthe riches of goodness\u201d!
\nMy dear ones! With all my heart and soul, I wish each of you to be worthy participants in this Paschal \u201cfeast of faith,\u201d this radiant spiritual celebration filled with love and peace!
\n\u201cThis is the day of Resurrection, let us be radiant for the feast, and let us embrace each other.\u201d And with love in the Risen Lord let us say to one another: Indeed Christ is Risen!<\/p>\n
