On November 27, Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi, Administrator of the Diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam, celebrated a prayer service at the church under construction in honor of the Apostle Thomas in the village of Kinabalan on the island of Mindanao, Philippines.
His Eminence was assisted by Hieromonk Korniliy (Molev), Secretary of the Diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam, and Deacon Daniil Matveyev.
Following the service, Bishop Pavel addressed those gathered:
“Dear parishioners, brothers and sisters! Today we visit the site of the church under construction. We will offer prayers to the Lord that He will bless its completion, see it through to completion, and consecrate this church, so that everyone here will have the opportunity to gather and pray, glorify their Heavenly Creator, and unite in the holy sacraments.”
