On August 2, the 9th Sunday after Pentecost, the feast day of the Prophet Elijah, Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Church of Elijah under construction in the mountain village of Magulo (General Santovskoye Deanery) in the Philippines.
The service was celebrated by Priest Dimitri Kahilig, a cleric of the deanery, assisted by Deacon Elijah Aleria, who is celebrating the magpie service after his ordination. The evening service was held at the church the day before.
The roof of the church was recently completed, allowing services to be held.
Father Dimitry congratulated the faithful on the holiday, as well as the newly ordained Deacon Ilya on his name day.
