| The 17th of October 2019 On the second day of the stay of Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi on the island of Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines, was dedicated to visiting the parishes of the northern and central groups. Vladyka visited the parish of St. App Peter and Pavel in Salasang, the parish of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Arakan and the parish of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Makalangot. In the central group of the parishes, Metropolitan Pavel visited the community of St. John of Shanghai in the village of Santa Maria, and also visited the parish of St. Isidore Rostovsky in Alabel. While visiting parishes, the archpastor performed a prayer service and talked with parishioners. Vladyka Pavel spoke about the significance of the Christian faith in human life, about the structure of the Orthodox community, and spoke about himself and his ministry. In memory of the meeting, parishioners received commemorative gifts from Metropolitan Pavel — icons, beads, scarves. |
