On Saturday, August 8, the feast day of Hieromartyrs Hermolaus and others, Hieromonk John (Gondayao) celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the town of Daet, Camarines Norte (350 km south of Manila). Several Orthodox families of Serbian descent live in this area. They periodically invite priests of the Russian Orthodox Church to perform the sacrament: for many years, they have been spiritually cared for by Archimandrite Philemon (Castro).
