Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the parishes of the diocese on the last Sunday of the year, of the Holy Forefathers. At the parish of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God in Manila, a young parishioner was baptized and given the name Leo (Lion).
In Christianity, Jesus Christ is symbolically associated not only with a meek lamb but also with a lion, particularly as the “Lion of the tribe of Judah” (Revelation 5:5), signifying His royal authority, power, victory over evil, and resurrection.
