New Cleric of the Philippine-Vietnamese Diocese Celebrates Liturgy in the Capital of Vietnam.
On October 25, the 21st Sunday after Pentecost, a day commemorating the Holy Fathers of the Seventh Ecumenical Council, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the parish of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.
The service was conducted by Hieromonk Pavel (Polevoy), a graduate of the postgraduate program at the Moscow Theological Academy, who was assigned to the Philippine-Vietnamese Diocese to carry out his ecclesiastical obedience. This marks the first Liturgy celebrated by Father Pavel on Vietnamese land since his appointment.
An All-Night Vigil was held the previous evening.
During the Liturgy, those who wished to do so were able to go to confession and receive the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
Following the Liturgy, Father Pavel greeted the parishioners, offered congratulations on the feast day, and delivered a sermon.
