On August 1, the feast of the uncovering of the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov, the Philippine parish of St. Seraphim of Sarov in the village of Makalangot (North Cotabato Deanery) celebrated its patronal feast day. The deanery’s clergy celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
The service was led by Priest Moses Cahilig, Dean of the North Cotabato Church District, assisted by the parish rector, Priest Nicholas Salgado, Priest Ambrose Sumagaysay, and Priest Anthony Aranco.
The icon of St. Seraphim of Sarov containing a particle of his holy relics was adorned by parishioners the day before.
During the Liturgy, all who wished confessed and received Holy Communion.
Then, according to tradition, a festive meal was held, to which all those present were invited.
