On May 22, the feast of the transfer of the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the St. Nicholas Parish in the city of Kayupu (General-Santos Deanery) in the Philippines celebrated its patronal feast.
The Divine Liturgy was led by the secretary of the diocese, Hieromonk Korniliy (Molev). He was assisted by the dean of the General-Santos Deanery, Priest Roman Buniel, the rector of the parish, Priest Matthew Sale, Priest Juventinus Bulaqueña, and Deacon Dimitri Cahilig.
Parishioners and participants of the Orthodox youth camp attended the service.
The day before, they prepared for the service, confessed, and read the order for Holy Communion together. During the festive Liturgy, they helped as altar boys, readers and singers.
After the service, the believers walked in a religious procession through the streets of the city to the camp site, where they performed a glorification of St. Nicholas.
Then all the participants in the service shared a joint meal in the courtyard of the church.
