On December 21, the 28th Sunday after Pentecost, representatives of the Hanoi and Nha Trang Committees on Nationalities and Religions, as well as religious studies teachers, visited the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
The guests attended the Divine Liturgy, celebrated by the parish rector, Abbot Micah (Selyakov).
“They watched and photographed the service with interest,” Father Micah said.
The priest told the delegation members about the Orthodox Church and the service.
“They were surprised to learn that Orthodox Christianity is over two thousand years old, and that the Divine Liturgy has remained unchanged since the 4th century. They remarked that they had never seen anything like it before,” the priest added.
Following the service, Abbot Micah held a conversation with representatives of the committee, during which issues of the Russian Orthodox Church’s presence in Vietnam were discussed.
