On April 17, Friday of Bright Week, the feast day of the “Life-Giving Spring” icon, Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Arakan City (North Cotabato Deanery) in the Philippines.
The service was led by Hieromonk Korniliy (Molev), Secretary of the Philippine-Vietnamese Diocese, and was co-served by all the clergy of the deanery: Priest Moses Cahilig, the dean of the district and the rector of the church, Priest Nicholas Salgado, Priest Ambrose Sumagaysay, Priest Anthony Aranco, and Priest Raphael Frajillo.
Following the Liturgy, the prescribed service of blessing the waters was celebrated, after which the faithful walked in a procession around the church.
The previous evening, a festal matins was celebrated in the same church.
