During Lent, the Sacrament of Unction (Anointing of the Sick) is celebrated in all churches.
On March 21, Unction was celebrated at the Parish of the Protection of the Holy Mother of God in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Saint Philaret Drozdov: “Unction is one of the seven sacraments of the Church, in which, through the anointing of the sick with holy oil, the grace of God is invoked upon them, healing them from spiritual illnesses and sins.”
The sacrament was performed by Priest Stanislav Rasputin, the parish rector.
