On October 14, the Feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, the patronal feast was celebrated at the Church of the Protection in the village of Polomolok (General Santos Deanery) in the Philippines.
The Dean of the district and rector of the parish, Priest Roman Buniel, along with Priest Dimitri Cahilig – a cleric of the deanery – celebrated the Divine Liturgy, assisted by Deacon Gabriel Germudo. An All-Night Vigil had been held the previous evening.
The Liturgy was celebrated in the Cebuano language.
Following the service, a religious procession took place through the streets of the village.
At the conclusion, Father Roman congratulated the flock on the patronal feast and delivered a sermon.
Afterward, everyone present was invited to a festive meal.
