On July 18, the feast day of St. Sergius of Radonezh, a rite of conversion to Orthodoxy for Filipinos living in Moscow was celebrated at the Church of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessaloniki in Khoroshevo, Moscow, following the Divine Liturgy. Twenty-three people participated. Three children were baptized, and the adults were converted through the sacraments of confession and chrismation. The rite was performed by Hieromonk Alexei (Lapshin), Dean of the Manila District of the Diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam.
