A Filipino student from Tomsk Seminary presented a paper on Orthodoxy in the Philippines at a Tomsk university.
On October 22, international students from Tomsk Theological Seminary spoke about Orthodoxy in their home countries at Tomsk Polytechnic University. The seminarians were accompanied by Priest Vyacheslav Kabanin, Vice-Rector for Educational Work.
Tatiana Villaluz, a student from Manila, the capital of the Philippines, studying choirmastership at Tomsk Seminary, spoke about the life of the Orthodox Church in a predominantly Catholic country. The audience learned that the diocese in the Philippines is young but actively growing, with parishes and missionary communities.
Services are held in English and local languages so that everyone can connect with the faith.
The Polytechnic students asked the seminarians about their path to God, their choice of ministry, and the religious situation in their countries.
