On May 2, in the city of Cagayan de Oro (northern Mindanao Island), the secretary of the Philippine-Vietnamese Diocese, Hieromonk Korniliy Molev, celebrated the Divine Liturgy for the Orthodox Christians living in this city.

Every week, volunteers from the diocesan Department of Charity and Social Services organize charity lunches for children from poor families living in the Tagaytay area. The meals include porridge fortified with vitamins and minerals.
Last week, two girls were baptized at the Intercession Parish in Ho Chi Minh City and the Kazan Parish in Vung Tau, Vietnam. The newly baptized children were named Stefania and Marina. The baptisms were performed by Priest Stanislav Rasputin, rector of the parishes.
