Metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi Pavel visited the parishes of the southern group on the island of Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines.
The archpastor served a moleben at the parish of St. Nicholas of Myra in Kaiupo, and at the parish of St. John of Shanghaiin Kiamba, after which he talked with representatives of the community and presented everyone with souvenirs. Also Vladyka Pavel visited the unfinished temple in Maitum.
| The 17th of October 2019 On the second day of the stay of Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi on the island of Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines, was dedicated to visiting the parishes of the northern and central groups. Vladyka visited the parish of St. App Peter and Pavel in Salasang, the parish of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Arakan and the parish of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Makalangot. In the central group of the parishes, Metropolitan Pavel visited the community of St. John of Shanghai in the village of Santa Maria, and also visited the parish of St. Isidore Rostovsky in Alabel. While visiting parishes, the archpastor performed a prayer service and talked with parishioners. Vladyka Pavel spoke about the significance of the Christian faith in human life, about the structure of the Orthodox community, and spoke about himself and his ministry. Metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi Pavel, who was on a working visit to the island of Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines, met with the mayor of Davao City, Mindanao Island, Ms. Sara Duterte-Carpio.
During the conversation, the parties discussed various issues of cooperation in the development of church life in the parishes of the Philippine-Vietnamese diocese located on the island of Mindanao.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of the Philippines Igor Anatolyevich Hovaev. Also, the Metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi Pavel held a working meeting with the City Consul Pilar Braga.
The 16th of October 2019
On the first day of his stay on the island of Mindanao, Metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi Pavel visited the local parishes of the Northern Group.
Metropolitan Pavel visited the parish in Meokan of Saint Martyr Isidore, parish in Little Baguio of St. Helena Equal-to-the-Apostles, parish in Malibatuan of St. Righteous Anna. In each community, the archpastor performed a prayer service, talked with the parishioners, and then gave them memorable gifts – prayer ropes, scarves, icons.
The 15th of October 2019 His Eminence Pavel Metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi arrived in Mindanao island of Philippines Republic. In the Francisco Bangoy airport of Davao City His Eminence was met by the head of the Diocesan Chancellery of the Khanty-Mansiysk Diocese priest Sergiy Nagornyy and the priest of st.Matrona parish of Davao City hieromonk Kornily (Molev).

On the feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in the church of the Dormition in Singapore, the first meeting of the Synod of the Patriarchal Exarchate of South-East Asia took place.
The Synod was headed by the Patriarchal Exarch of South-East Asia, Metropolitan of Singapore and South-East Asia, Sergiy. He was joined by the Metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi, Pavel and the Archbishop of Korea, Theophan. During the meeting, the archpastors discussed a wide range of issues related to the life and activity of the Patriarchal Exarchate of South-East Asia. The meeting was preceded with Divine liturgy, jointly served by the hierarchs of the Exarchate.
The 13th-14th of October In a day of Feast of Protection of the Mother of God in Singapore, the capital of the Exarchate, Metropolitan Pavel concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with Patriarchal Exarch of South-East Asia Metropolitan Sergiy and Archbishop of Korea Theophan.
The 10th of October 2019 In Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam the meeting of the His Eminence Pavel Metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi with the First Deputy General Director of the Company «Vietsovpetro» Bondarenko Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich took place. During the meeting, the questions about allocation of land in Russian district and building the temple here were discussed. His Eminence presented the icon of the Virgin Mary «The Joy and the Comfort». In this meeting priest Evgeniy Tsukalo, the head of the parish of the Kazanskaja icon of the Virgin Mary in Vũng Tàu City, took part.
The 10th of October 2019
His Eminence Pavel Metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi arrived in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. In the airport His Eminence was met by the attaché to the Consul General of Russia Danila Varich, the head of the parish of the Kazanskaja icon of the Virgin Mary in Vũng Tàu City priest Evgeniy Tsukalo.
The 21st of September 2019
On the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, His Eminence Pavel, Metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi during the Divine Liturgy, ordained Deacon Moses Kakhilig to the priesthood. The next day, His Eminence also ordained Deacon Roman Buniel to the priesthood.
“Today I would like to greet the fathers of Moses and Roman, our Filipino clergy. Yesterday, Father Moses accepted the priesthood, today is Father Roman. They will carry the word of God among their flock. It will not be easy for them, but the flock awaits them and hopes that they will lead them to salvation.
I am very glad that the will of God is being accomplished, and as a obedient of the Church of God, I am doing this spiritual feeding for both the Philippines and Vietnam. You know that I have been entrusted by the Holy Synod to manage the Philippine-Vietnamese diocese, and here are the first shoots, the first clergy who will preach about Orthodoxy in the Philippine land.
I think that for them it is a special day in their life, to be here in the northern region, after the warm Philippines, where almost all year round plus 30 degrees. I sincerely congratulate you, I wish you strength of strength, God’s help, and of course, the Queen of Heaven, who would help you in your priestly ministry.
It is impossible to serve God without serving the neighbor, o, the way to the Lord is only through the neighbor, and for the clergyman this is a special work, a special service.
