Today, on the Birthday of the Most Holy Virgin, two our parishes in Mindanao celebrate their Patronal Holiday: in Arakan and Santa Maria

On September, 13, Divine Liturgy was served at the parish in honor of blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg in Ha Noi.
With all the necessary precautions, many Orthodox people attended the service.
After the Liturgy, a blessing of water was performed.
With the blessing of his Holiness Patriarch Kirill, the head of the community Alexey Gankin was awarded the jubilee medal in honor of the “100th anniversary of the restoration of the Moscow Patriarchate”.

On September 1, a festive line-up on the occasion of the Day of knowledge was held in Vung Tau, in the Russian microdistrict. The rector of the parish of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God, priest Yevgeny Tsukalo, was invited to this holiday.
In the evening of the same day, a prayer service was held for children in the parish before the start of the School year. It is gratifying that there were those who wanted to ask God for help in their studies.

The Church year begins with the Nativity of the Mother of God, and ends with Her Dormition. The Gospel story is over, but the history of the Church continues: today at our Dormition parish in Banate (Mindanao) is the patronal feast. Probably, as well as at all others – for today is the main holiday of the most Holy Theotokos

Despite the quarantine, repair works are ongoing in the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Makalangot (Mindanao).
During a series of earthquakes last year, this temple was the closest to the epicenters and was one of the most affected. It was decided to strengthen the load-bearing beams with an external reinforcement belt. The work on “gilding” the dome of the temple is also being extended.
On August 24, hieromonk Korniliy (Molev), Secretary of the Philippines-Vietnamese diocese, visited the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov, inspecting the repair work.
