Traditional liturgical practice during Lent continues at the Blessed Matrona of Moscow mission center in Davao City (Philippines).
On March 18-19, Priest Nikolai Salgado, a cleric of the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Makalangot City (North Kotabato Deanery), and Priest Joachim Gonzales, a cleric of the Church of the Theophany in Talas City (Davao Deanery), celebrated Vespers, Matins, Hours, and the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts.
The practice is being conducted under the guidance of Hieromonk John (Gondayao), Chairman of the Diocesan Department of Religious Education and Catechism.
After the service, Father John held a seminar on dogmatic theology and Church history for the clergy undergoing practical training.
